Bret Dalton Since 1995, Bret has been recruiting senior leaders for corporations and not-for-profits. The Lord has blessed those efforts and has enabled him to lead many of today’s major Christian Boards and organizations through the process of seeking, identifying, selecting, and hiring senior leaders who are changing the world and advancing the cause of Christ in powerful ways. While at West Point as a cadet, Bret was selected by his peers as their Class President (which he describes as a wonderfully challenging life long position of indentured servitude). Since Bret’s days as a cadet at West Point where he became a follower of Christ, he has been building an ever increasing knowledge and understanding of leadership—spiritual and organizational—through academic studies (Master’s degree); senior leadership roles in the military, a $6 billion global corporation, & the local church; and, via a multitude of search assignments. On active duty as an Infantry officer and Airborne Ranger, he had the privilege of leading and commanding US soldiers around the world and served in numerous staff positions. After a command assignment inside the Berlin Wall, Bret was recruited back to West Point as an Associate Professor of Leadership. Those years were followed by more senior level staff positions working for or along side of many well known national figures at the highest levels of our military and government. His last military assignment was Chief of Operations for an Infantry division in Alaska. Bret’s exceptional understanding of leadership and organizations combined with his clarity of insight, forthrightness, and uncompromising integrity are the traits most cited by our clients and these have served our clients well as they rely on his counsel. Additionally, Bret continues to learn and grow through Board service. He currently sits on the Board at West Point and for a couple other organizations promoting the cause of Christ around the world. Prior to establishing Dalton Group, LLC, Bret spent 10 years in a secular search firm being mentored by one of the nation’s top recruiters as he approached retirement. In Bret's first position after the Army, he spent three years in strategic marketing developing new business and global alliances for RR Donnelley & Sons Company, a $6B world leader in printing and information distribution.
